Good day all

Thanks for taking the time.

I have a sheet in Excel that contains shapes with text in them. The texts in these shapes are not misspelled. If I run a spell check nothing is picked up.
All text has red wiggly lines under them. How do I get rid of these lines? It even prints when I print or PDF.

Thanks,
Wessie

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
I just inserted a shape and added text that was intentionally misspelled and no red lines. Are you sure they're spell check lines? I've never heard of spell check lines printing even if you ignore them and leave them on the page.

I added shadow to the text formatting, and maybe depending on the text size, etc...it could look similar to spell check lines and that would print.

Maybe check the text formatting (highlight the text, right click, "Format Text Effects" . If there's nothing there, I'm at a loss as well.

Thank you for the answer. It's definitely not formatting and it's not computer specific. I'm at a complete loss.

Would you be willing to share your workbook, via a share site such as OneDrive, DropBox etc?

Hi Fluff

I wouldn't mind, but I'd prefer email as all share sites are blocked by our internal servers.

Thank you

If you e-mail it to me, would you be happy for me to upload it to a share site, so that others can have a look?

I don't even see any unusual lines in the Excel UI . Which shape are you seeing them in? Or is it all of them?
