I would like Me, You, Them colored a certain color if they are host or co-host..Monday being one color, Tuesday being another one, and so on an so forth. Is it possible? if needed i can give more detail.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
Select all cells in column B (the one for Monday). For example, the range is B2:B10.
Go to Conditional formatting and set as the formula / condition:

=B2="Host"

give it a color. Add a second condition:

=B2="Co-Host"

and apply a (different) color.

Same for the other days, but the codition will be on columns C, D, and so on.

Be careful to not end up with a spreadsheet that has too many colors: in the end, nothing will take the attention if a lot of cells are colored.

No, what I'm needing is(for example) Me is host for Monday, I need his name(column a) to be a certain color if he is hosting or cohosting. which the word is in column b.

Try this in the CF
Code:
=OR($B$2:$F$2="Host",$B$2:$F$2="Co-Host")
But I think a better option would be, 1 colour for "Host" and another colour for "Co-Host"
Code:
[code]
=$B$2:$F$2="Host"

=$B$2:$F$2="Co-Host"

Thats fine, the only reason I use this site is cause you guys really know what yall are doing, I'm just a basic guy that learnt the basics of excel in school. and I knew google docs were just like excel with a few subtle differences, I guess this is one of them..Thought google docs have updated and implented the formula conditional formatting, our specific sheet hasnt been updated yet. So that's why I couldn't find it. Sorry about the mishap.
