Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
I don't know of a formula that will do that. Pressing the key combination Ctrl + ; and Ctrl + Shift + ; will insert a time stamp. Beyond that, it will probably require a VBA solution.

One way.
VBA Code:
'
' Add to worksheet code module
'
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Not Application.Intersect(Me.Columns("E"), Target) Is Nothing And Target.Cells.Count = 1 Then
        With Target
            If TypeName(.Value) = "Date" Then
                .Offset(0, 2).Value = Date & " " & Time
.Offset(0, 3).Value = Environ("COMPUTERNAME") '<- use whatever environment variable you think best for a User ID.
            End If
        End With
    End If
End Sub
