Hello,

I am attempting to divide (in the pivot table for an interactive dashboard) my grand total from one column by a cell in another column. =<cell>/<grandtotal> --> =C15/B97

ABCD
Row Labels# Job Posting# Skill%Job Skills
Data Domain24579.68%
Grand Total248499100%

<tbody>
</tbody>
In red attempting to divide column C by grand total column B (=57/248) in my pivot table but unable to do so. My end results would/should be 22.98%, however, I am getting 9.68% from the value field setting "% of column total". I have attempted the other calculations as well in the value field as well as in the Analyze tab "fields, items & sets" (calculations).

My end goal, I need to take # of skills requested (in red) divided by the grand total # of job postings (in red).

I do have Office 365 (excel 2016) but I am not sure how to create this formula so that it is presented in my pivot table so that when I update my data source it updates all when I refresh.

Any help or direction would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Adriane</grandtotal></cell>

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
As best as I can see since I am not seeing your actual formula,

When choosing the Total of column B you need to lock that part of your formula. ( Put the dollar signs before the column and before the row number )

For example column D formula would be;

=[@#Skill]/$B$22

Then copy it on down the column....

Thank you for taking the time to reply, however that formula is not working in my pivot table.

I may not have been very clear I am using an OLAP pivot table. Attempting to take a cell total from one column and divide by another cell column the grand total.

I attempted to insert pictures but I am apparently lacking the skill to locate how to upload the picture from my desktop.

Regards
