A general question about Custom Views.

As many of you know, this really useful function is becoming quite limited due to its incompatibility with modern functionality like Excel tables.

I've been musing about replacements and came up with:

* Filter function with parameterised spreadsheet cells.

* Power Query with filters.

* Power Query with cell parameters.

* VBA solution.

None of the these are as good as the "old school" custom views and whilst none of them are particularly difficult to implement, most aren't that easy to give as a solution to a basic-to-intermediate Excel user. Was wondering if anyone has a go-to solution for this that they might want to share.

Thanks
Martin
