Sorry we couldn't find .tmp file when trying to open a file moved from one folder to another by a Macro

I am using a macro to copy a number of files from one folder to another - then I want to open these moved files and consolidate the data into a single file. When it goes to open the moved files I am getting the error:

Sorry we couldn't find C:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\iNetCache\Content.MSO\XXX.tmp. Is it possible it was moved, removed or deleted?

Why is it trying to open a .tmp file? Is there a workaround regarding this? We have been using the Macro for the past 2 Years and this is the first time we have encountered this issue.

Any help much appreciated.
