hi, i have a column (A) with a bunch of "K"s in it....scattered through 150k rows.

in column B, i have values for every row.

What formula in C1 will search col. A and return B values for All "T"s in column A?

thanks in advance for any help.

Hope you can figure out how to setup macros and VBA in version 2007. Is it a permissions thing or you just haven't found it yet?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
i'm not sure actually......
how can i check to see if it's a permission thing?
i know that they installed the full version for me....but ever since i got it, macros are OFF! and nothing i do seems to turn them on :(

it's even worse because 07 is so new that nobody here or on other sites has real information on questions like that...

If it was a permissions issue, you would get a prompt that you are not allowed to make that change.
Please post any solution you find here. I will post back if I find out anything.

Take a look at this link.
http://www.directionsonmicrosoft.com/sample/DOMIS/update/2006/06jun/0606ccmto2.htm

Snippet below:
Macros Excluded from Files

Documents saved in Office 2007's default format cannot contain macros. This measure makes Office 2007 less susceptible to macro viruses carried in documents, but it could also affect existing macros that organizations have deployed by distributing documents

This may help too:

You need to switch on the 'Show developers tab in ribbon' under Office button>Excel Options>Personalize

This will give you a new tab on the ribbon
