Autocomplete within a drop down list.

Hello All,

I am using Excel 2003. In sheet1 I have a drop box that is using the data validation function to refer to a list that is in Sheet2. The list has 1084 entries and it would really help if I could get the auto complete to work. Also, the scroll wheel on the mouse does not work inside the drop down box. Is there a way to enable both the auto complete and the scroll wheel?

Thanks!

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Welcome to the Board!

If you use a ComboBox from the Control Toolbox, it has that functionality. In properties, you can set the ListFill range to match the existing range for your selection. (i.e. Sheet2!A1:A1084)

Hope that helps,

That's weird, because the List Fill works for me in 2000.

ScrollWheel won't, to my knowledge, work on that though. I should have pointed that out first time around.
