godevs,

Welcome to MrExcel.com!

If you right-click on your controls toolbox toolbar you'll see an option for additional controls. Try adding the Calendar Control xx.0 (good) or scroll down to Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control x.0 (better) and see if those don't work better for you.

I feel kind of dumb here... I was trying this solution for myself, and I accidentally clicked on "Delete Page" after right-clicking the toolbox. Now all of my Tools are gone.

Could someone please point me in the right direction for getting them back?

Thanks very much.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Hmmm, where did you find the "delete page" option??

Did you just hide the toolbar? Try View>Toolbars>ControlToolbox

I'm referring to the toolbox in the Visual Basic editor.

On the toolbox, the list of available tools are displayed under what could be called a tab (or a page in this case). I assume this is because you can add more controls (as per the post linked previously) which could then be sorted onto separate pages.

I think what I did was delete the page with the list of default controls on it. If you right-click next to the tab, you'll get a list of options:

New Page
Delete Page
Rename
and so on.

I clicked Delete Page.

Which version of Excel are you using? This tab/page stuff is not sounding very familiar. I have my toolbox which I right click to bring up the list of additional controls. There does not appear to be a delete page option

I see it (don't know how to fix it, though). On the Controls Toolbox, right-click the TAB and that shows the menu that Andrew is talking about...

Ah, ok, got it!!

You’ll have to forgive me for not trying to re-create your problem as I haven’t been able to locate a “restore default toolbox” kind of option. According to Help, deleting the page also deletes all the tools on that page. So, I believe that the only solution will be to add a new page and then re-add each of the controls. If it helps, the default controls in my toolbox are as follows:

Microsoft Forms 2.0 CheckBox
Microsoft Forms 2.0 ComboBox
Microsoft Forms 2.0 CommandButton
Microsoft Forms 2.0 Frame
Microsoft Forms 2.0 Image
Microsoft Forms 2.0 Label
Microsoft Forms 2.0 ListBox
Microsoft Forms 2.0 MultiPage
Microsoft Forms 2.0 OptionButton
Microsoft Forms 2.0 ScrollBar
Microsoft Forms 2.0 SpinButton
Microsoft Forms 2.0 TabStrip
Microsoft Forms 2.0 TextBox
Microsoft Forms 2.0 ToggleButton
