I wonder if can anyone help me please. I am trying to use auto filter on a worksheet and I also want to use protection so that other users cannot alter the data.
I created the worksheet in Excel XP but but am distributing on Excel 2000 and it won't allow me to protect the sheet and use autofilter. Any ideas please

i.e.
It works on XP but not 2000
Many thanks

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
This should work in XL2000 :-

Private Sub Workbook_Open()

With ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Sheet1")
.EnableAutoFilter = True
.Protect Contents:=True, userInterfaceOnly:=True
End With

End Sub
