case 1.
I started a reply. A part of it written with a fixed font to align some stuff.
Before submitting I was away for a while. Upon return my reply was 'gone', so
pressed Restore autosaved contents. All multiple spaces were reduced to 1 space!
case 2
inserted html code (output from excel jeanie). Did preview, looked good. After post or preview 2nd time html results look quit different (gridlines are gone and column width look like 'best fit'

Is this a bug in forum software? Recent behaviour one or two weeks.

Windows 10 / Firefox 48.0.2 / Excel 2013

I have been experiencing case 2 since I started using the HTML maker. What I do now is delete the old table and paste the HTML in again. I have to do this whenever editing or previewing a response.

I also routinely re-paste jeanie code after previewing or editing a post.

The reduction of multiple consecutive spaces to a single space has always been the case, at least as far as I can remember.

Workaround for compressing spaces:

If there's a part of my reply text that should be left unaltered I wrap it in code tags.
