Is there a way to calculate the "end of week" similar to the "end of month" function?

I am wanting to group a list of dates by week.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
Hi !

I suggest you create a pivotal table; under Group and Show Detail choose Group; Days and
set the days to 7.

This should do it. Pls post your comments.

Thanks

To compute the EndOfWeek for a given date you casn use the WeekDay function to get the EndOfWeek date foe weekending on Saturday or Sunday

see the worksheet simulation:
Book1
ABCD
1dateEndofWeek(Saturday)EndofWeek(Sunday)
28/23/028/24/020:008/25/020:00
Sheet3
</SPAN>

Regards!

Also consider the weeknum() function for your grouping (you must first install the anaylyst tool pak to use this function)

To calculate the End of Week function use the following.

= Date + (6 - Weekeday(Date))

This is if you want Friday as the week end. Depending on the date you want as the week end use the key below to replace the number 6.

Sunday = 1
Monday = 2
Tuesday = 3
Wednesday = 4
Thursday = 5
Friday = 6
Saturday = 7
