Mapping UK postcodes

Hi there,

I've tried doing a search, but I've not had much luck.

I have no idea where to start on this one. I'm using Excel 2003 and would like to use a list of UK postcodes to show as pin points on a map of the UK. Is there any way of doing this in Excel?

Thanks in advance,

Rebecca

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
I would imagine that you would need a large image of the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">UK</st1:place></st1:country-region> and a “grid reference” for each and every postcode that references a “position” on the worksheet. You could then have another image (of a pin or something) that you can change the position of based on the grid reference.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Sounds like a laborious task though. I’m sure this would be easier to do by linking to a website like streetmap.co.uk where all this data is already available.
