Macro to Copy a variable to clipboard

How can i copy a variable to the clipboard?

Sub textboxtoclipboard()

Dim boxstring1 As String
' ActiveSheet.Shapes("ZoneTexte 65").Select
' boxstring1 = Selection.Characters.Text
' boxstring1.Paste ' Dont work
End Sub

In order to copy text to the clipboard, you need to use the DataObject from the MSForms library. You'll need to use the Tools menu in the VBE to set a reference to this library (the MS Forms library). (I prefer early binding to late).

A search here for the term DataObject should turn up lots of examples. Here's a quick example

Sub CopyStringToClip()
    Const cstrExample As String = "Hi, Bob!"
 
    Dim doClip As MSForms.DataObject
 
    Set doClip = New MSForms.DataObject
 
    doClip.SetText cstrExample
    doClip.PutInClipboard
 
End Sub
