I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this before but for some reason when I am in some of my spreadsheets, the background colors for the cells have changed. In fact the entire color selections are slightly different from what is normal. Then if I close out all sheets I have opened and reopen them in excel they are back to normal. Any ideas on what causes this?

Thanks,
Jared

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
A workbook can have its own modified colour palette. To reset to the default choose Tools|Options|Color tab, click Reset then OK.

Hmm for some reason it isn't working. I opened up two different sheets each with different color schemes and tried copying one to another but they do not change. I also tried resetting both and neither change.. Any ideas?

Thanks again!

Its also interesting to note that regardless of which of the two sheets I open first, they both change to the color scheme I do not want to use.. Not sure if that helps or not..

Ah do you mean ASAP? I can't access that link right now from work but that would explain it. I do have that installed. I manually changed all the colors to fix the issue lol.. Thanks again!

It is possible to have two entirely different colour palettes in one workbook. You have to have multiple windows to achieve it, but whatever way you look at it, it looks like a bug to me.
