Hi there,

I have run across a dilemma. I have two seperate workbooks. In the first workbook, there is 3 columns, with about 1900 rows of data. The same 3 columns are located in the second workbook as well. What I want to do is to compare the 3 columns from the first workbook to the 3 columns in the second workbook. Here is a sample of what the workbooks look like:

111 Granville - GVL Point Beach - POB
1112 Burlington - BUN Tichigan - TGN
121 Point Beach - POB Forest Junction - FTJ
124 Tayco - TAC Melissa - MEI
13802 Sycamore - SYCA Blount - BLS
13826 West Middleton - WMD Pleasant View - PLV
13856 Cross Country - CCS Fitchburg - FCH
13875 North Madison - NMA West Middleton - WMD
13877 Yahara River - YAR Sycamore - SYCA
13877 North Madison - NMA Yahara River - YAR
13878 Columbia - COL North Madison - NMA
13898 Pleasant View - PLV Cross Country - CCS
151 North Appleton - NAP Point Beach - POB
16342 Empire Mine - EMP National - NAT
16343 National - NAT Tilden - TLD
16344 National - NAT Tilden - TLD
16353 National - NAT Cedar - CDR
1642 Racine - RAC Hayes - HAY
1645 Racine - RAC Somers - SMS

111 Granville - GVL Point Beach - POB
124 Tayco - TAC Melisa - MEI
151 North Appleton - NAP Point Beach - POB
301 Dewey - DEW Valley - VLY
302 Valley - VLY Everett - EVRT
311 Valley - VLY Harbor - HBR
314 Valley - VLY Haymarket Sq - HYS
321 Valley - VLY Park Hill - PKH
324 Valley - VLY Everett - EVRT
446 Presque Isle - PQI National - NAT
457 Empire - EMP Presque Isle - PQI
468 Presque Isle - PQI Perch Lake - PLK
481 Presque Isle - PQI Dead River - DRV
611 Pleasant Prairie - PLP Bain - BAN
612 Pleasant Prairie - PLP Arcadian - ADN
631 Racine - RAC Pleasant Prairie - PLP
641 Pleasant Prairie - PLP Bain - BAN
742 Saukville - SAU Port Washington - POW
751 Range Line Switching - RLN Port Washington - POW
752 Saukville - SAU Port Washington - POW
761 Range Line Switching - RLN Port Washington - POW

I then want to create a new list(on a new worksheet perhaps?) of all the rows that DO NOT match completely.

I have tried many different ways of doing this, with no result. If anyone can lend me a hand with this, it would be greatly appreciated. The columns must stay in the order that they are now, due to company standards. I know that everyone who patrols this site is very knowledgable, and has given me help in the past. I look foward to any help or advice that you can give me. Thanks!

Jamey

If this is not possible, a list of the matching values would be workable.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
If you have Micorsoft Access, you can do this pretty easily with an Unmatched Query Wizard. You don't even need to import the data into Access, you can link it in.

Glad to hear it!

I prefer Excel over Access whenever possible myself, but there are just some things that Access does better than Excel.
