    Default default value for blank cell

    is there a way to set a default value for a blank cell? eg. if the cell has no value make its value set to 0.

    Not really ... but select the range you want to fill, choose Edit|GoTo|Special|Blanks and click OK. Then type 0 and press Ctrl+Enter. That will put zero in all the cells.

    Why would you want to unnecessarily contribute to an increased size of your workbook?

    just for one column so then i can search it so if it is equal to the default value i can then delete that row...

    Why not just change your search criteria to "" (two quotation marks) instead? This represents a null value or empty cell.
