I am trying to figure out how to make status indicator for my excel document. In Column "B" I would like a red, yellow, or green dot to appear if they meet the following criteria:
Green: F - J filled in
Yellow: 3 out of the five columns are filled in
Red: None of the columns are filled in.
Would anyone be able to help me out with this?
1) In column B select all the cells you want to contain the dots.
2) Enter =CHAR(108) and press ctrl + enter keys
3) set font to Wingdings (you should now have dots in all the selected B cells).
4) Use the following conditional formatting formulas to set dot colors:
=COUNTA($F2:$J2)=5 SET FONT TO GREEN
=COUNTA($F2:$J2)=3 SET FONT TO YELLOW
=COUNTA($F2:$J2)=0 SET FONT TO RED
