Default Conditional Formatting Cells Based on Another Cell Value

I have been trying all day to figure this out and can't seem to find an answer that works on Google or on here so I have to ask.

I have a group of cells in a row, some are vlookups and the rest are calculations off of those values. They are baseball stats in a row that pull from an inputted name at the beginning of the row. Effectively they look like this (dash = new cell):

Albert Pujols - VLookup - Vlookup - ..... - Calc Based on Vlookup - Calc Based on Vlookup

Now I need to highlight all of those cells including the name based on the value of another cell which I've added right next to the data. This cell is 1 or 0 depending on if the player is inputted into another array on the page.

The last part works fine, I just can't get the values in the rows to highlight when using conditional formatting using the first cell.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to Mr Excel Forum

If i understand correctly maybe something like this

    A B C D E F G
    Name Header1 Header2 Header3 Header4 Header5 Ref_Cell
    Name1 value1 value2 value3 value4 value5 0
    Name2 value10 value11 value12 value13 value14 1

Select A2:Fn (till the end of your data) being A2 the active cell. ie, the one that is not shaded after the selection

Home > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula to determine whice cells to format

    insert this formula
    =$G2=1
    pick the format you want
    ok, ok
