macro to reverse number

Hi all,

I need a macro to reverse a number in the cell, suppose a user inputs the number the 48596, after running the macro it should show the output in other cell as 69584.

By using a user defined function.

Public Function RevStr(Rng As Range)
RevStr = StrReverse(Rng.text)
End Function

Usage is: =RevStr(cellref)

If the data is numeric...... =RevStr(cellref)*1 which forces it back to
numeric.

This function would be copied to a general module in your workbook.

has to go into a module.

WOW hippiehacker, Its working now. I pasted the code in view code by right clicking on the sheet tab earlier , now in the module.
Great. I also want to learn to write codes like you, can you give me some tips on how to go about.
