Hi,

I need to know how to print only certain columns. The catch is that I want to print only on one page and when simply using the print area specification, It prints on multiple pages (the columns the are together print on the first and the 4 that are each seperated with columns not being printed print on an additional 3 pages.

Also, the people here are not all that well versed in excel so instructing them to hide/unhide columns isnt really an option.

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

hiya, welcome to the board!

you should be able to just select the columns, and set the print area w/ the selection. given the columns desired are contiguous, if not, this presents a different problem. would you mind elaborating or posting a graphic representation using colo's html maker (link at bottom of page)

Why don't you set up a 'printing' worksheet? You could set up links to your other worksheet, and just format it as you wish.

i.e. if you have data in 200 rows but one column you want to print, set A1 of the print sheet to =MasterSheet!A1. Make B1 = MasterSheet!A51, etc. Drag them down, and you'll have your data formatted.

Hope it helps.

I am trying to figure out the same thing. I have a spread sheet with 17 columns, A-Q. This makes the spread sheet to wide to print on one sheet. All of the columns are important but not all need to be printed. When printing i have been hiding some columns and it works just fine but i would prefer to have it taken care of automatically. I need column A,B,D,F,G,H,I,M,N,O,P
