Something just showed up on my excel 2010 - I am new to this version - it is a thin blue line - vertical - that has a "dot" at the top and bottom - is is running up and down the columns where I have figures. I've never seen anything like this before, How do I get rid of it....it moves each time I move to a different column....Thanks...Irene

Re: Cannot remove line on spreadsheet

To remove all tracer arrows on the worksheet, on the Formulas tab, in the Formula Auditing group, click Remove Arrows Button image.

Most likely you have a circular reference in your formula

Re: Cannot remove line on spreadsheet

Can you upload the workbook to a hosting site like Dropbox or Mediafire....then post the link to that site back here...we may be able to "see" the problem better that way !

Re: Cannot remove line on spreadsheet

Mark858 - I think you are right about the circular reference - I was deleting all the figures from the spread sheet so that I can enter my new figures and then the line disappeared....it's no longer there.

I'll keep that in mind if it should turn up again as I enter all my figures..

Thanks very much for all answers...
