Hi everyone,

I'm having a hickup in excel on a calibration sheet I'm working on. I'm using a dropdown menu to select a certain scale or balance and with VLOOKUP I have managed to get certain data out of a table which works really nicely so far. However I would like the sheet to also do the following: When selecting the balance or scale instead of gathering data out of a table and show that with VLOOKUP, I want it to gathering the cell's properties like decimals.

For example when I select Balance A in dropdown menu cells B13 to B22 show 1 decimal when I input data there, when selecting Balance B the cells B13 to B22 show 2 decimals and when selecting Balance C the cells B13 to B22 show 3 decimals.

Is it at all possible? Thanks in advance

Kind regards,

Do you mean somthing like this,

<COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 48pt" width=64><TBODY>
</TBODY>

=IF($B$3="A",ROUND(B13,1),IF($F$3="B",ROUND(b13,2),ROUND(B13,3)))

Where B3 is where you tell it A B or Blank. and copy down to B22.

No, I can't seem to make that work. But what I mean is that the cell property for the number of decimals is changed whenever I select a balance/scale from the dropdown menu. I was thinking maybe with VLOOKUP it would work or via 'Format Cells' and then enter a formula in 'Costum'
