What does this error message mean?

Hi All,

I am getting the following error message.

"Run-time error '3197':"

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

I get this message when the following code is run.

DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, 8, "Excel_Data", Path

Obviously it means that the are is being accessed by another user, is there a way i can see what user is accessing this at the same time.

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
You can get that message in a number of situations.

1. There is already an Excel file with the same name in the export folder, and it may be in use

2. You have a table / query / form open, that uses a table required for the export query.

3. You do have another user in the system, and they are accessing the table directly or indirectly as in (2) above.
