Hello,

I recently started watching the amazing ExcelisFun power pivot videos by Mr. Girvin and have been having a blast learning about all of the capabilities and ease of use. I have two questions about the date table that I really need some help with. I've been searching the internet for a solution all day but haven't had any luck.

1. What if the fiscal quarter started on a date towards the end of the month?
2. How would I use the date table multiple times in the related fact table to filter different date columns?

Thank you for any advice!

Nick

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
It is fairly common to add custom columns to your date table... "FiscalQuarter" could certainly be one, and most of the time intelligence functions will still work fine... though, probably not Quarter based functions... if you need a PriorQuarter measure, you might have to do your own magic

You can relate multiple columns between the two tables... but only 1 can be "active". You will end up using USERELATIONSHIP in a measure to activate other columns/relationships.
