Duplicate entries in Pivot Table drill downs

Hello all:

I've created a Pivot Table to summarize statistics by employee and date(Monthly grouping for daily data) however I've found that when employee names or dates are removed from the pivot table source data they are not removed from the pivot table drill down menu. Does anyone know a way around this? (Refreshing the data does not work.)

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Sort by date Sort by votes
A long way around it could be to go back to step 2 of the Pivot Table wizard and redefine the range. Then click finish.
This should reset the data.
