I have never seen or heard of this before. Can anyone please help me? When I open an existing workbook everything is fine. However when I open a new workbook cell A1 is on the top right and the scroll bars are on the left. my toolbars seem fine, but I am having a real hard time navigating. I did everyting I know how to do all the way down to a reboot.

Has anyone ever seen this before?

How can I fix it?

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Really? So is A1 the furthest cell and IV1 is the first? Also what version of Excel and what OS.

Hi, listerheb.

Check to see if you are sitting with your back to your monitor and looking at it in a mirror.

Hi listerheb:

If your existing workbook opens fine -- but a new workbook is created funny, then one of the possibilities is that you have a template setup with these strange features -- just a thought!

Get to a new workbook.

Select Tools, Options on the menu.

Select the International tab.

Check the Settings in the Right to Left section.
