Sorting a table in excel 2003 using a custom list.

Hello,

Is there any way in excel 2003 wher we can sort the table using a custom list?

For example: If I want to sort the below table by the column ID but in the order of the below mentioned list; Is there any macro or method in excel 2003?

Sort by date Sort by votes
Easiest way would be to add a sort order 1,2,3 etc to your custom list table and then a helper column to your main table using VLOOKUP and sort on that.

Create a Custom List in Tools>Options>Custom Lists, in your example importing range A2:A7.

Now sort using the Custom List (in the sort use the button Options and in the field "First key sort order" choose the Custom list you created).
