Maximum Value Problem

Hi all,


I am having a little problem with the max function in excel:

I need to insert a formular in column C that will give me the maximum value that corresponds to each of the names in column b using data from column A. For instance the maximum value of "aa" from column A is 437. I need a formular to report the maximum value of aa, bb, cc, ee, dd as shown in column b below.
