Try with

ComboBox1.ListIndex = 0

yeah... i tried that ... didnt seem to work....

i know in VB, ... there was a command called 'selected' ... i forgot how to use it... but there doesnt seem to be anything like that in VBA

Where (and how) did you put the code? which toolbar did you use to insert the ComboBox ?
