Hi I have linked a range of cells on one worksheet in the same work book to another sheet in the same workbook but I have lost all the formatting. Is there a way to preserve the formatting? I am using Excel 2007 and conditional formatting.

I am linking one worksheet to another but when I link the cells the formula comes out as =Sheet1!$A$1 instead of =Sheet1!A1 I have to drag these formulas across and down so is there a setting that will put the formula in in the first place without the $ signs ? (I am using Excel 2010) Peter
