Dear Mr-Excel Community

I have been using excel for a while but i can hardly call myself a pro,

Anyways i would like to autofill a few cells which are in a pattern based on data in differant cells,
here is an example of the code that i am using

for cell g5 i entered =c0
for cell g6 i entered =c33
for cell g7 i entered =c65

The data that needs to go into the g column is in increments of 32
i was wondering if there was an easier way to do this using a formula/autofill as excel wont recognize this pattern,

Thanks in advance,
Ethan

I have to do this hundreds of times,

thanks for your replies,
sadly though this is not working,
i do understand that the first cell is in increments of 33 but the rest of the cells are not, they are in the 32 increment

when i select 3 cells that use the 32 increment and drag down i dont get the increment,

is there a way that i can upload an excel file to the community to show this?

Kindest Regards,
Ethan

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
No, you can't here, sorry, but you could use a file-sharing site such as DropBox, which some of us would be prepared to access. Which version of Excel are you using, by the way?

Why not just select 2 cells like everyone has suggested from post #2 onwards ?

@Footoo - because the OP says it's not working for him. I have suggested he provide a file.

@Ethan - without seeing that file, how can we help? And please let us know which version of Excel you are using. Thanks!

OK. Here's what I said in response to your PM:

"Please keep the discussion in your thread, where I have explained how to provide a file".

See posts #12 and #14 above.

Hi Ali thanks for your reply...
this is a little hard to explain but i will try my best

what i am trying to achieve in the f column is 1,2,3,4,5,6 going downwards
i know that i can do this manually by saying =e4 into f1 and
=e6 into f2 but i want excel to recognise the pattern of data in the e column so that the
f column will have 1
2
3
4
5
6

displayed on it.

i hope that you can understand my quirey,
since i am working for a company i am unable to upload confidential information for the public to see,
