I've tried searching but struggling to find an a remedy that works.

- I use an Excel spreadsheet as a shared client database - each row being a separate client.
- Each client row has a hyperlink, which links to a Word file in which we keep chat notes.

Because there are 5 people who access the database and chat notes, I would like to add a column in the excel database to automatically show when the linked Word file (client chat sheet) was last updated, so other users know when that client was last contacted.

Excel 2003
Word 2003

Many thanks in advance!!
