Cell Referencing Issues

I have a problem where I need to reference a cell in a matrix, and then I need to be able to copy both the reference cell and the matrix to a new destination (either a new spreadsheet or shuffle it around a few cells) but keep the relevant references in the matrix.

So as an example (see image) I have cell AJ4 referencing cell X12. Say I want to copy cell X12 down to X27 and have a new (copied) matrix referencing cell X27, how would I do that..?
