Comparing A&B columns and finding similarity

How to compare and find 4 letter similarity of columns A and B.
C column tells if it matched for similarity.

Sample:

car wash	bus wash	correct -> matching 4 letters
baseball	football	correct -> matching 4 letters
boys	girls	False -> no match

Perhaps this array formula**:

=COUNT(SEARCH(SUBSTITUTE(MID(B1,ROW(INDEX(A:A,1):INDEX(A:A,LEN(B1)-3)),4)," ","ξ"),A1))>0

**Array formulas are not entered in the same way as 'standard' formulas. Instead of pressing just ENTER, you first hold down CTRL and SHIFT, and only then press ENTER. If you've done it correctly, you'll notice Excel puts curly brackets {} around the formula (though do not attempt to manually insert these yourself).
