Compile error: For without Next

i am consistantly getting a Compile error:
saying:

For Without Next.
what does this mean and how can i resolve it?
(the debug highlights the End Sub line of the code)

Does it have to look in a cell relative to the one where it found DAYREQUESTTB?

the cell is relative to the name it is associated with (it is three columns to the left of the name)
the DAYREQUESTTB is on a workbook sheet it is entered by the user

So do you need?

DaysRemaining = ThisCell.Offset(0, -3).Value

i still get the same error i dont understand the problem but phantom1975 suggested the code for in a previous thread..would it help to know the whole problem i had and then the code he suggested to solve it?

If you put:

MsgBox ThisCell.Offset(0, -3).Value

before that line, what does it show you?

same error (1004. object-defined)

on the line you last suggested

Do you still get it with?

yes i do but with a new twist. i select the name of the user and then a message box appears saying "accounts". after clicking ok (the only option) i get a 1004 error.

i dont think this code is going to work for the problem i have is there any other code i could use?

Well at least we have established that we've found the right cell.

So what cell is "accounts" in? And what cell are the DaysRemaining for "accounts" in?

what exactly does this code do? i need it to find the holiday entitlement, holiday remaining, holiday taken from a series columns for each user and then i need to it change the values it finds by the number the user enters in a textbox
will this do that?
and if not what will?
