Copying Conditional Formating Formula

Hello,

New to the forums here. I have searched multiple threads and am struggling to find an answer. I have a conditional formatting formula "=$G6<>$H6" set up to highlight numerical differences in two cells. That part works fine. My range is set to the two columns being compared. The issue arises when I try to copy and paste special to get my formatting to another two columns. The formatting still references the original G & H columns. I'm certain it has to do with the absolute "$" but, when I take that out, things still don't work and the original format is all screwy. I am going to need to copy this formatting for every day of the week for multiple weeks. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Nate

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
have you tried format painter ?

Yes, it is the result of the absolute column reference ($). But that seems to be required for what you want to do so I don't see any way to "copy" the rule to other column pairs and have each pair conditioned independent of the others.
