Hi,

I tried copying the link "https://news.google.com" to excel and it copies "Google_News" into excel. I tried choosing between "Keep source formatting" and "Match Destination Formating". One copies the hyperlink and the other just copies the text "Google News".

Can excel be this stupid!!!!

I just want to save the actual text I actually copied. "https://news.google.com"

Is there a way to do this other than copying to a text file then copying back to excel, that seems to be the only way to do this.

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
