Hello girls and Boy

Ive heard a rumour that you can set up a 'Countdown Timer' on excel i.e Days, hours, minutes and seconds to a particular day/event (y) ..is this true and if it is how do you do it?

I have this string set to count-down my time left at work until quiting time: which is 6:30.

=ABS(DAY(NOW())) & "th Day: " & 7 - ABS(HOUR(NOW())-24) & "hrs " & 30 - ABS(MINUTE(NOW())-60) & "mins -" & ABS(SECOND(NOW())-60) & "secs, until quiting time!"

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
