In the M language, do we have a function that checks if a value is either null or an empty string?

Instead of the verbose
Code:
EmployeeWarning = if EmployeeId = "" or EmployeeId = null then "EmployeeIdMissing" else "",

Something like this
Code:
EmployeeWarning = if IsEmpty(EmployeeId) then "EmployeeIdMissing" else "",

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
No, but you can create one yourself with

Code:
= (String as nullable text) as logical => String is null or String = ""

By the way: be careful with "value".
In this case you mean a string; in Power Query, a value can also be a table, list, record or even a function.
For such values, you can use standard functions List.IsEmpty and Table.IsEmpty.
