I have been away from excell for a few years now and drawing a blank on how to correctly wirte this formula without using multiple IF statements. Looking for a more simple approach.
SFcost acost bcost ccost dcost ecost ftotal cost60% of total
.075.01.015.005.02.02
4149xx352.665211.599

This formula will need to take the SF and multiply it by the cost only if there is an x in the cell and provide the total in the total cost cell. IE: 4149 * (.075+.01) = 352.665*.6 = 211.599.
Each new row will be another entry of SF. and it can have evey cost from cost a thru cost f. (the values below each cost column header can change daily and will auto update from another sheet)
There will be up to 20 rows of information that will total into a billable cost after 2 weeks with a payalble of 60% for that 2 weeks. Just need the formula for the single row of info i can do the rest .

Thanks in advance for any and all help with this issue.

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
Assuming the headers are in row 1, costs in row 2 and then data starts in row 3:

Excel Formula:
=A3*SUMIF($B3:$G3,"x",$B$2:$G2)

will give total cost for the row.

Glad to help. :)

By the way, it's probably worth updating your profile to show which version of Office you have. The functions available differ quite a lot by version these days so it helps to ensure that the answers you get will actually work for you. ;)
