I'm trying to create a multiple column dynamic named range by referencing multiple cells for the OFFSET

The end result of what I'm trying to do is format cell backgrounds where at least one cell in a row between Columns D & M have a value
My plan is to first create a a dynamic named range and conditional format blank cells when they are empty

Not sure if my approach is correct

This doesn't get me there.
Excel Formula:
=OFFSET(Template!$D$2:$M$2,0,0,COUNTA(Template!$D:$M),1)

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
This seems to be a duplicate/continuation of this: Apply Conditional Format to a Named Range
