Excel 2010 Enable VBA Developer

Hi I have just installed Excel 2010 but I cant access the VBA editor screen?

I have gone to File/options/Trust Centre Settings and ticked "Trust Access to VBA"

Also been to File/Cusomtise Ribbon and added the Developer tab

The "Record Macro" button and the "Visual Basic" button are greyed out. Also Alt-F11 does not work!

Any ideas how to get access?

Have you added a new workbook ontop of the default, this may work. If you are using shared workbook you might not get to the macros.

Yeah I tried adding a new workbook but it's still greyed out?

Very frustrating!

Note You can disable VBA in two ways:

• By setting its installation setting to Not Available when you install Excel.
• By using the Disable VBA for Office Applications system policy.
