A user in our company has a problem with an Excel 97 workbook running on
Windows 2000. This sheet is approx. eight or nine years old and had a
formula converted from Lotus at some stage in its life. There are two
macro's running form this formula, Ctrl + A will insert a couple of
extra lines into the worksheet and Ctrl + X will work out some totals as
well from different columns. This sheet will run correctly on everybody
else's PC except for this one user, it will just do the normal shortcuts
for example highlight the whole sheet and copy the contents of one
cell. The PC they have is a Dell Optiplex GX240 and has been ghosted
from another identical machine along with other machines as well. All
the PC's will function correctly with this sheet with the exception of
this one sheet. I have included all the add in tools and made sure they
have enough administrative rights and made sure that macro protection is
disabled so that they can use this sheet.

If you copy and paste the original into a new sheet it still will not
work. You cannot edit the macro as it is not displayed anywhere in the
macro's option. I am at a loss as to why this this one PC will not run
the macros when everybody else's PC will, all the PC's were set-up at
the same time with the same spec and software installed and they were
all ghosted from the same original machine as well.

I would really appreciate it if you would have a solution for this
problem.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
