I want to extract the numbers from a cell containing a mixed string but I need to retain the leading zeros.

My data consists of the following format:

SD001, SD002 through to SD1790

There will always be the text 'SD' followed by 3 or 4 numerical digits and it's the numerics I need, but retaining the leading zeros.

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Hi

If this a a column of values you don't need formulas, you can just select the columns and use text-to-columns.
