filling in blank cells

I receive spreadsheets to analyze having several blank cells. The cells really need to be filled with a 0 or sometimes a 0% - either way every cells need data before I can analysis. What is the fastest and easy way to input data into those blank cells?

I have copied and inserted rows of data and used an IF statement, and that does put data in the blank cell, but where there is data in the cell it either blanks it out or replaces it with what I have in the right side of the IF statement.

I am hoping to find a way to replace those blank cells in a better and more efficient way.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
You landed up in the wrong spot, but try this:

Alt+F11, Insert>Module, and paste this code --
Code:
Sub FillBlanks()
  Range("A1").CurrentRegion.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeBlanks).Value=0
End Sub
To run the code, activate the spreadsheet, press Alt+F8, and double-click the macro name
