Form Filtered Crosstab Query Problem

Hi, I'm using Microsoft Access 2010, but editing a Access 2000 database.

I'm using a form with drop downs to filter the results of a query. HOWEVER, the form filter only works if I the query is anything but a Crosstab query.

I really need this query to be in Crosstab form, but whenever I do I get an error that "Microsoft Access Database engine does not recognize 'form!Formname!FormBox' as a valid field name or expressions."

When I change the query to a Select query and run, it works fine. I ONLY get this error on Crosstab queries.

Is there ANY way to run a crosstab query using a form selection as a filter???

Thanks for any help.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
How about:

- Change the Select query to a Make-Table query;
- Run that query to create a table (each time this is done, just replace the previous table) available to the Cross-Tab query;
- Run the Cross-Tab query on the table.

ooohhh... good idea! I'll try it right now and let you know!

Its odd. I KNOW I've form filtered crosstab queries before and it worked. The only reason I can think is that it is because the database is in Access 2000 format - and I have to keep it that way until we get everyone upgraded.

Edited to add: SUCCESS!!! Thanks a lot!
