Hi does anyone know if it's possible to have two separate instances of Excel open at the same time if a Userform is being used?

Basically a user has 1 workbook that they have saved historical data/information in and they need to reference that to be able to enter the information into a Userform in a new workbook.

I know you can have multiple instances of Excel open but as soon as I open a userform that 'locks' other workbooks from being used.

Thanks for any responses. Paul

You can display your UserForm as modeless. For example...

VBA Code:
UserForm1.Show vbModeless

or

VBA Code:
UserForm1.Show 0

Hope this helps!
