Im trying to make a tacker fro all my works training that we do, an example is below, the dates are when they did the training, and theh months are the frequency of the training.

A B C D E F G H

sheet-1.png

what im trying to do is use conditional formatting to turn the dates yellow when they are within 60 days of renewal and red when they are within 30. To me it makes sense but then again im not very good with any of this. I see it as this imagine the first block is A1

=IF(C3+670>TODAY()) I want it to turn yellow and =IF(C3+700>TODAY()) i want it red. I need it for all this dates, and some have differnt frequencys of training.

so obviously this isn't correct or i wouldn't be here.

CAN ANYONE OFFER ME HELP AND EXPLAIN TO ME HOW TO DO THIS? I AM EAGER TO LEARN EXCEL!!!!

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Hi I can't see the image on your post, but I'm guessing this should help. Conditional formatting doesn't need the IF statement, it just needs the criteria =c3+670>today()

try the following conditional formatting on cell C3:
condition 1: =TODAY()-C3>335 (1 year -30 days), format red background
condition 2: =TODAY()-C3>275 (1 year -90 days), format yellow background
