Hello Everyone!

OK, I'm stumped. I have been generating and emailing password protected spreadsheets for years, hiding rows and columns that I don't necessarily want shared with everyone, with no trouble at all. Then all of a sudden, a few months ago I get word that hidden columns on one of my files that I send out regularly is now appearing when viewed with a smart phone. Whereas other files that I send with hidden columns stay hidden when viewed with a smart phone. I have gone so far as to recreate from scratch a new file thinking it must be in my settings of that particular workbook only to discover that these hidden columns are in fact appearing. This isn't happening with just one particular phone but with multiple smart phones. And yes, it was tested on a PC & MAC to confirm they are in fact hidden.

For the life of me I cannot determine what makes one file show my hidden columns and another file keep them hidden. Because I can't replicate the problem in either direction, I am at a loss.

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem? I simply want anything hidden to remain hidden regardless of the platform in which the file is being viewed.

Can anyone help?????

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Have you considered making the columns 0.1 wide ??, instead of hiding them ?
This creates the illusion of hidden columns, which can't be "unhidden"
